Abiotic Factors
Abiotic Factors are nonliving components such as weather, soil conditions, chemicals, etc. that can effect trees. The majority of problems facing trees today do not stem from insect or disease but rather from stress related to the environmnent in which the trees are growing. Once a tree becomes stressed due to abiotic factors, it is much more likely to start attracting insects and disease agents.
